The Cook & The Butler is an outstanding independent catering

personalised service to clients in the City of London.The company was established in 2004 by founding managing director Mark Grove. Working alongside him is talented French signature chef Jean Deillon,
who takes great pride in sourcing fresh foods daily from London’s
markets and tailoring quotations to precise customer briefs, creating
menus to suit budgets and ensuring an innovative and stylish culinary
occasion.
The company is located centrally in Southwark SE1. Its office, modern
production kitchen and extensive equipment warehouse provide easy access
to any venue in the capital, where The Cook & The Butler events team
combine to create the perfect bespoke imaginative event.

The Cook & The Butler
invests in clean vehicle technology
It was
clear by November of 2007 that to move the business forward a large investment
was required in the logistics department, particularly the transporting of
equipment.
In December 2007 an order was placed for an Iveco Cargo 80E with crew cab which
will be used for transporting both our goods and kitchen staff. Seven months
later we took delivery of our new lorry, complete with hand-built body,
representing a total investment of £56k.

In the
spirit of Transport for London’s clean air policy we insisted on a catalytic
converted engine fitted with Iveco’s “AdBlue” additive for the post-treatment of
exhaust gases. This is very clean-running and complies with the Euro 5
standard. Particulate emissions are just 10% of the current permitted standard
in the London Emission Zone.
